Every year for homecoming every class has a float for the parade. Each class starting with Head Start- 12th grade has a float. Parents are in charge of grade school float construction and class sponsors and teachers supervise the high school float construction.
The High School gets out right after lunch, the day of the parade, and they decorate their float until its judged. The floats were judged this year at 4 o'clock. Elementary parents decorate their floats after school.
Then at 5:30, everyone meets in the back of the school to line up the trailers. The trailers are pulled by pickups, that are driven by a parent or a high school sponsor. Students ride on the back of the trailers and they are pulled up and down Main Street. When the parade is over, they disassemble the floats behind the school and then proceed to the Pep Rally.
