College Visit Information

by Bob Mason

Throughout the school year, admission representatives from colleges, technical colleges, and military branches come to WCHS to meet with our students.  Informational posters will be posted on the bulletin boards outside the Counseling Office.  Sign up sheets will be posted in the Counseling Office. Students are then excused from class to meet with the representatives.

College Campus Visits
WCHS School policy affords seniors the opportunity to visit two (2) colleges/universities.

Juniors have the opportunity to visit one (1) school during the 2nd semester.  Again, arrangements must be made by visiting with Mr. Mason

College Materials
College catalogs and applications for all Kansas schools are available in the Counseling Office.

College Visit Days

Although all colleges encourage students to schedule a personal visit to campus with their parents, many colleges also host special  Senior Days where students can visit campus.  The main difference between Senior Days and a campus visit on any other day is that on a Senior Day, you will likely take a campus tour with a larger group and you may not be able to meet one-on-one with a faculty member, coach or activity sponsor. Remember, you must schedule ALL campus visits through the counseling office!
