Northwest Kansas All-Star Volleyball Game

by Jenna Kriegh

January 22, 2010

On Sunday, January 17, 2010, Kamee, Audrey, Gabrielle, and Payton Walker from Weskan made their way to Colby, Kansas to play in the 13th Annual Northwest Kansas All-Star Volleyball Game.

To be selected for the All-Star game, area coaches nominate senior girls to Colby Community College. Colby College then picks 24 girls to play on two teams. If you are chosen, Colby College sends you a packet full of information. On the day of the game, the girls go at 9 o’clock in the morning and practice until 11 o’clock. Ten minutes before the game there is an award ceremony.

It was a great honor to have 4 girls from Wallace County to be playing in the All-Star Game.
