Biographical Information

I'm originally from Greensburg, KS where I was born and raised and graduated from Greensburg High School in 1992.  After I high school I headed to Manhattan, KS where I attended Kansas State University from Fall 1992 to Spring 1998.  I earned a partial business degree while participating in the KSU Marching Band and Concert Band as extra curricular activities.  I realized I enjoyed the music department so much that by Spring 1994 I changed my major to Music Education and was active with the KSU Marching Band, Orchestra, Symphonic Wind Ensemble, Flute Choir, Girls Glee Club and a member of Tau Beta Sigma music service sorority.  In Spring 1998 I student taught in the Clay Center school district.

After graduating that spring my first job was in the Clifton-Clyde school district covering the two towns of Clifton and Clyde, KS.  My duties there were 5-12 Band and H.S. Choir as well as a guitar class at the high school which was more of an education to me as I had no training on guitar.  After three years I moved to Goodland, KS where I worked as the Head Band Director 5-12 and served as the music department chairman for 3 years and one of the Jr. High Track coaches for one year.  I now have been at Wallace County schools for 4 years in a variety of capacities.  I have been the director of the band program and the 7-12 vocal program all 4 years as well as the director of the high school musical.  I served as Head Girls Track coach for three years specializing in the weight events, taught Spanish I & II for one year, and now have an on-line science class which has been fun.
