This is the sixth year in a row that WCHS won first place. Wallace County has received first for nine of the past ten years. Each of the teachers at WCHS chose sixteen students, four from each grade. Then the top four students picked from each grade were selected to compete in the testing. One or two alternates were also selected from each grade.

Students were tested in five subjects; Revising Written Material, Social Studies, Science, Reading Comprehension, and Math. The Scholarship Testing consumed three and a half hours.  Schools belonging to the WKLL include Cheylin (Bird City-McDonald), Tribune, Sharon Springs, Weskan, Wheatland/Grinnell, Brewster, Dighton, Triplains (Winona), Golden Plains, and Healy.

Wallace County can be proud of Sharon Springs and Weskan schools and their achievements.
