The placings for golf are Eagle, Birdie, Par, Bogey, Double Bogey, and so on. And Eagle is when you hare two under Par, a Birdie is one under Par, Par is when you get it in the hole in the amount of strokes for the hole, Bogey is one over Par, and a Double Bogey is two over Par. When you get to a hole it will tell you how many strokes you have to get it in, like 3 strokes or 4 strokes. You have to get the golf ball into the hole on that number of strokes or you get a Bogey. If you get the golf ball in the hole in 2 strokes instead of 3, then you get a point. Good scores are in the negatives, like -3, bad scores are in the positives, like +3.
In this sport you get to play as a team and as an individual. You might not play very well, but your team can. You can go to state as a team or an individual. The better your score the better you do and the better your team does.
