Cross Country Regionals

Run, run, as fast as you can, you can’t catch us we’re headed to state for some fun! On October 24, 2009 the Wildcat Cross Country team will be heading to Grainfield, Kansas to participate in the Class 1A Cross Country Regionals. Teams participating at Northwest Kansas Regionals include Northern Valley, Brewster, Cheylin, Wheatland –Grinnell, Hoxie, Kensington, Ness City, Palco, Quinter, Western Plains, Sylvan Unified, Greeley County, and Victoria.
The top ten individuals and top three teams of both girls and boys divisions will advance to the State Championship in Wamego, Kansas at the Wamego Country Club. State Cross Country will be held on October 31, 2009.
Cross Country Coach, Christy Hammer, says, “We hope to qualify
every individual to go to state. We’ll be competing next week at
the same location as regionals, giving us an advantage as we’ll
know the course.”
As our cross country season comes to an end, the high school congratulates each of the cross country members on their placings, and competing in the meets. A great job and many thanks to community supporters, coaches, and runners!
