Student Council in Charge of Homecoming

Student Council was in charge of the Fall Homecoming activities once again. Student Council, led by President Taylor Weinland, worked hard to prepare all the festivities going on last week. Vice President Gabrielle Kuhlman said, “Since Taylor Weinland and I are both new to StuCo, this year has been all new for us.”
Student Council was in charge of Spirit Week, delegating jobs to each class, the Lip Sync contest, door decorating contest, the jersey and bake sale, the crowning of the new king and queen, the bon fire, floats, parade, and the dance. Brett Bussen, who was the deejay for the dance, made sure a good time was had by all.Student Council had a very busy week getting ready for all the activities! President Taylor Weinland said, “It was a lot of work and was stressful, but it was really nice to see the whole thing come together!”
The Student Council sponsor this year is Joanna Basgall. “Joanna worked extremely hard to get us organized for this year’s activities; we love her so much! She’s priceless!” said Brett Bussen. Mrs. Basgall and everyone else on Student Council worked hard to get everything together before and throughout the week. We all owe the members of Student Council a big thank you for making Homecoming such a success!
